The Pilcrow, also called the paragraph mark or paragraph sign, is a typographical character commonly used to denote individual paragraphs. Robert's practice involves writing, therefore a typographic solution seemed the best.
The typeface choice allowed the pilcrow to replace the 'S' on 'Strien'; when scaled up, it became a decorative element on its own. I had the design turned into a custom metal block, then printed on a Heidelberg letterpress machine.

Business card and letterhead for Robbert van Strien, custom metal block pressed, 8.5 x 5.5 cm and 29.7 x 21 cm. Printed by Alex Barbaix
